Get Your Old Clients to Turn into Current Customers Again!

how to get old customers to become current customers again

Want to rekindle a relationship with a previous customer? Facebook can help you turn old customers into current customers again.

We’re going to keep going deeper into an earlier article, What Good is Facebook? If you missed it you can read it by clicking here

We’ve been talking about what I learned from one of my early mentors, Jay Abraham, and his statement that there are only three ways to grow your business:

  1. Get new customers
  1. Get your existing customers to buy more
  1. Get your existing customers to buy more often.

First, depending on who is on your email list and how you built it, you’ll usually be working with existing customers.

If that is the case, you’ll be getting people to buy more and more often.

In these cases, email marketing can be a powerful tool.

Now I want to address how you can support your email marketing and why you should even care.

After all, isn’t email dead? No one looks at email and if they do how many actually buy?

Well, it turns out there are significant sales generated from email.

And why is that?

According to recent studies over 85% of the population use email regularly and over 74 TRILLION emails are sent every year.

Some studies even say the return on investment for email marketing dwarfs all other media. Common numbers you’ll find depending on the study is 28 to 35X ROI.

Numbers this staggering means email isn’t going anywhere.

Why Use Facebook To Support Email?

Open rates are a challenge for most marketers.

Your open rate is what percentage of your emails get opened, and the bigger your list the smaller this number generally is.

Currently, an open rate of 20% is good and if you have a list over 100,000 if you are over 10% you’re doing fantastic.

That means that 80% to 90% of your email list isn’t even opening your emails.

As a business owner and marketer, how do you fix that?

With Facebook, of course.

Facebook lets you upload your email list to Facebook and it goes out and finds these people on Facebook and creates an audience for you to use with Facebook ads.

And it doesn’t matter if they’ve used their personal email or business email.

Facebook has been finding 65 to 80% of most lists we upload.

This means that you can run an ad to Facebook with a similar message you’ve sent in your email to your list and only to your list.

Why should you pay to show ads to your email list?

This means that you can reach the 80% + of your list that didn’t open your email and expose them to the message.

And these people know you.

They’re not some person you’ve just met who doesn’t have a relationship with you.

This audience is one of the most responsive audiences that any business has to sell to.

These ads are very inexpensive. If you have a list of 1000 people and a budget of five dollars spread out over 3 days, the ad will reach a large share of your list. And if you want to reach them multiple times doubling your budget to ten dollars is a small investment for the results you’ll get.

A secondary benefit of these ads is that they help your email open rates and your Facebook marketing results. When you can reach your audience in more than one way in a short span of time all the sudden 1+1= 3 or more. It’s new math!

What else can Facebook do for your email marketing?

Since email is a profitable way to get your message out to your audience. How can Facebook help it grow?

After all, if I have 1000 people on my email list won’t it be better if I have 2,3,4 or more thousand people on my list?

And since more is better in most cases, I would agree.

You can use Facebook to grow your email list.

You find new customers with Facebook as I talked about in my previous article, click here to read it if you missed it.

However, instead of going for the sale right away offer to give your prospect something they will value, and that doesn’t cost you much if anything in cash, and give it to them in exchange for their email address.

Then you can harness the power of email to turn them from a looker to a buyer. Remember once you have their email, they’ll start seeing your Facebook ads too. All you have to do is upload your new subscribers on a regular basis to Facebook.

As you can see Facebook is an incredible tool for supporting and growing your email marketing efforts.

With some thought and testing, you’ll multiply your email marketing results with a small investment on Facebook.

Have a great day!
