What Good Is Facebook?

What good is facebook?

What good is Facebook, really? I know you’ve asked yourself this question more than once.

You have a business to run. And while Facebook seems like a nice tool to use to stay connected to your family and friends why should you even consider it for your business?

You can’t buy anything with likes, comments, and shares.

All those vanity metrics get you is a nice feeling, but what can they do for your business?

Well according to one of my early mentors, Jay Abraham, there are only three ways to grow your business – and since I learned this I’ve been trying to prove him wrong…but I can’t.

According to Jay Abraham, the three ways to grow your business are:

  1. Get new customers
  2. Get your existing customers to buy more from you
  3. Get your existing customers to come back more often

Let’s take a look and see how Facebook can help get each one of these done:

Find New Customers

Almost every business wants new customers, more than anything else. I wrote about that in an earlier article. You can click here it if you missed it.

Strengthen Your Relationship With Your Existing Customers

Strengthening your relationship with your existing customers is hands down the easiest way to grow.

These people have already trusted you with their money, so you’re over that hurdle.

Now how can you strengthen that relationship to encourage them to come back to you again and again, and even more importantly, refer their friends to you?

Reactivate Old Customers

For those of us who’ve been in business for a few years, there is the chance to reconnect with old customers and bring them back.

You may have done a project with a customer, or they purchased a product from you and were happy with you, but then their problem was solved and they didn’t need you anymore.

As time has passed, they may need you again and would be happy to reconnect and become an active customer again.

And here are a few bonus ways to grow your business via Facebook:

Support Your Email Marketing

Email marketing is a powerful way to reach your audience. Once you have someone’s name and permission to market to them you can reach out to them again and again.

But . . .

There are issues these days. Email marketing isn’t working like it once did. People are not opening their emails and your messages aren’t getting read.

With Facebook, you can target this list and reach them in another place.

Bring People To Your Store Or Website

Where are you the most effective at selling?

People have to be where they can buy, and most businesses sell from their website, online store or their physical store.

Facebook is a powerful tool you can use to get people to visit your website or physical store.

The strategy is the same, you want to get people to a location they can buy your products or services.

Increase Attendance at Events

All business have events of some kind.

These events can be an online webinar or masterclass, or offline like an in-store sale, or open house or party or whatever else you can think of.

As you can see there are multiple reasons to have an audience that’s interested in you ready to go so that you can improve the results from your efforts.

Sell Your Stuff

Yes, you can sell your stuff on Facebook.

If you’ve been creating audiences with all of your Facebook work you’re going to have people who know, like and trust you. Click Here to check out an article about some of the possible audiences you have to use on Facebook.

It’s always easier to sell your stuff to people who at least know of you than it is to total strangers.

Since you’ve made it this far, I hope you’re starting to see the possibilities of Facebook.

Facebook is a powerful tool you can use to grow your business.

Have a great day!

Brian
